Industry Buzz Words are being widely discussed throughout the Government and Industry today. This is our Theme for the 11th Annual Senior Government Executive Dinner; Featuring the InnovateIT Awards. The President’s Management Agenda offers a bold vision – one of continual change, in response to changing requirements.

On Thursday, July 19 at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, D.C. the Young AFCEA Bethesda Chapter brings together senior and emerging government IT leaders for mentoring and engaging conversation on the Administration’s multi-generational and cross-functional transformation initiatives – The Evolution of Analytics, Acquisition and Government IT Initiatives, Organizational Change and Management, Blockchain and Smart Contracts, Privacy and Cyber Security, and Exploration Mission and Systems.

Transformation on this scale requires more than new and better technology. It requires leadership. That is why this year, the  Senior Government Executive Dinner will feature the InnovateIT Awards and recognize innovation and leadership of senior executives and emerging leaders in the areas of mission, service and stewardship.

The Senior Executive Roundtables

During dinner, a Senior Government Executive will be seated at each table and paired with an Emerging Government Leader to lead a roundtable discussion moderated by an industry leader or emerging leader. The discussion will include one of the topics listed above, emphasizing ideas that drive innovation to achieve the long-term vision of the President’s Management Agenda.

The InnovateIT Awards

Two awards will be given in the areas of mission, service and stewardship — one to a senior government leader and one to an emerging government leader. Additionally, the program will recognize Outstanding Civilian Leader of the Year and Outstanding Industry Leader of the Year who have exemplified outstanding management to achieve efficiencies, effectiveness and provided leadership to spearhead IT initiatives that have delivered extraordinary results.
