June Cybersecurity Breakfast
AFCEA Washington, DC's final breakfast of the season will feature a popular topic — cybersecurity. The recent signing of the cybersecurity executive order and release of the 2018 budget blueprint have identified two key areas of focus for the Trump Administration – cybersecurity and national defense. With the proposed federal technology budget approaching $96 billion – including some of the largest increases to the Department of Defense (DOD) and government-wide cyber operations – there is a significant opportunity to strengthen our country’s cyber defenses. This will start with the DOD. Attend the AFCEA Washington, DC Chapter June breakfast to hear from senior technology executives from the DOD as they discuss their cybersecurity initiatives and priorities to address their challenges and fulfill their missions. Register today to learn more about the DOD’s current and future cyber plans and strategies.
AFCEA Washington, DC hosts nine monthly breakfast programs featuring a panel of government and military leaders. Our monthly programs draw attendees from across the Department of Defense, armed services, intelligence and civilian agencies to discuss topics of interest to the DOD IT community. The goal of our monthly events is to foster better joint warfighting communication, share best practices and identify mission-critical information technology issues affecting the military community.
