IT Innovation and Technology Disruptors

During the Senior Government Executive Forum, the Young AFCEA Bethesda Chapter will bring together senior and emerging government IT leaders to foster government and industry dialogue around IT innovations and technology disruptors impacting government today. Topics will be announced soon.

The Senior Executive Roundtables
During the event, a Senior Government Executive will be placed in each breakout room and paired with an Emerging Government Leader to lead a roundtable discussion moderated by an industry leader. The discussion will emphasize innovative technologies, techniques, and acquisition practices used to accelerate IT modernization and improve services to citizens.
The Senior Government Executive Forum will also feature the presentation of the InnovateIT Awards which will recognize innovation and leadership of senior executives and emerging leaders in the areas of security, automation and modernization.
The InnovateIT Awards

The 2020 InnovateIT Awards program will recognize leaders who exhibit qualities of successful leadership across the following areas: security, automation and modernization. Individual awards in each of these categories will be given to a government leader or government team exemplifying excellence in that area. An Emerging Leader Award will also be given to a government leader 40 years old or under, and can be based on success in a single area or across multiple areas. Additionally, the program will recognize the Government Innovation Leader of the Year and the Industry Innovation Leader of the Year -- two individuals who have exemplified outstanding management to drive forward innovative initiatives that advance the mission of their organizations or the state of federal IT.
