As one of the largest federal cabinet departments, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is an unlikely place to lead in innovation—yet, it has transformed into a testbed for use cases in technologies ranging from blockchain to artificial intelligence. HHS’s Ignite Accelerator serves as an internal innovation startup to improve department operations.
