In patient-centered care, patients are partners with their healthcare providers and providers go beyond clinical care in treating the whole person. Patient-centered care encourages active collaboration and shared decision-making to design and manage a comprehensive care plan. Technological advancements have improved patient access to resources, but the landscape is still turbulent. This session seeks to highlight these advancements through the lens of use cases across government. Our panel of experts will outline key policy objectives and programmatic changes needed to improve the patient experience and give them more control over their healthcare.
