DESCRIPTION:The 10th Annual Military IT Leadership Awards Dinner will recog
 nize outstanding officers and enlisted service members across each of the 
 services and the joint community for their contributions to IT excellence.
  The event\, with approximately 200 military\, civilian and industry membe
 rs in attendance\, will be held at the Army Navy Country Club located in A
 rlington\, VA on May 18\, 2017. This elegant event is a salute to our info
 rmation technology warfighters for their service and dedication\, and reco
 gnizes the contributions and sacrifices they have made in defending our na
 tion. AFCEA Washington\, DC will recognize a member from each branch of th
 e military that has made a significant contribution to the warfighter thro
 ugh the use of information technology. \n\nThis recognition will be given 
 to ten members (two enlisted and two officers stationed anywhere in the wo
 rld) from each of the U.S. Armed Services - U.S. Air Force\, U.S. Army\, U
 .S. Coast Guard\, U.S. Marine Corps\, U.S. Navy - who were nominated for t
 heir contributions in calendar year 2016. Four additional awards\, two off
 icers and two enlisted\, will be presented to service members assigned to 
 a joint billet during the time of their demonstrated leadership. Special c
 onsideration will be given for decisive bravery.\n\nAward recipients will 
 receive recognition from AFCEA Washington\, DC identifying their contribut
 ion. The recipients will then be recognized by their peers in the military
  and government IT community - government\, industry and academia - at two
  back-to-back events: the 10th Annual AFCEA Washington\, DC Military IT Le
 adership Awards Dinner\, followed by a regional breakfast on Friday\, May 
 19\, 2017. \n
